Ambient Country Archived Episodes, Across the Horizon, + NYC Show Tonight!
It's been a big week here with the launch of the Across the Horizon music series curated by SUSS's Bob Holmes and Northern Spy Records. The music series, which includes some of our favorite artists, was born out of the podcast series "Ambient Country". When Bob started the series over 3 years ago, it was (at best) a fanboy's efforts to capture and promote a genre of music that he felt could always stand a few more ears and a few more fans. That meant playing some of his favorite music by his favorite artists like Chuck Johnson, William Tyler, David Moore (Bing & Ruth), Walt McClements, Mark Nelson (Pan American), and Luke Schneider.
Flow State has been reposting past archived episodes, including Episode 6, which just went live today, and when you listen to this episode it's hard to believe that these same artists and music would be included in a music series curated by Bob and Northern Spy Records. It's a dream come true. We suggest signing up now so you don't miss a single episode.
Take a listen to an archived episode below to hear where it all started, and then check out and subscribe to the Across the Horizon music series here to understand the full scope of Bob's passion for this genre. 24 tracks of original music by his favorite artists, released over the next 12 months, in both digital and vinyl formats, for one low subscription price.
NYC — don’t forget about our show TONIGHT at Bowery Electric with Peter Gordon’s Love of Life Orchestra, tickets available here!
